Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly intensified their interest in Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise after the French international enjoyed a remarkable campaign for both club and country. The Ligue 1 champions are said to be monitoring his progress closely, with head coach Luis Enrique believed to be among the strongest admirers of the 24-year-old. However, despite growing attention from Paris, reports suggest Olise has a different destination in mind should he ever leave Bavaria.
German publication Kicker reports that Real Madrid is currently the player’s preferred choice over a return to France. While PSG remain interested in bringing the winger to the Parc des Princes, Olise is understood to view the Spanish giants as the club best suited to his long-term ambitions. The report adds that playing at the Santiago Bernabéu has become one of his career objectives.
Olise has just completed the most productive season of his professional career since joining Bayern Munich. Across 52 appearances in all competitions during the 2025-26 season, he scored 22 goals and registered 31 assists, establishing himself as one of the Bundesliga club’s most influential attacking players. His performances were widely regarded as a key factor behind Bayern’s domestic success.
Bayern lifted the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, reclaimed the Bundesliga title, and added the DFB-Pokal during the campaign. Olise played a central role throughout the season, consistently contributing goals and creating chances in decisive matches. His ability to operate on either flank and in more advanced creative roles made him one of Vincent Kompany’s most dependable attacking options.
The winger has carried that form into the 2026 FIFA World Cup with France. After the opening two matches of the tournament, Olise had already produced four assists, placing him among the competition’s leading creators. His displays have further strengthened his reputation on the international stage.
Although he is primarily deployed as a winger at Bayern, France manager Didier Deschamps has frequently used him in a more central attacking role. The positional change has allowed Olise to influence games from between the lines while maintaining his creative output. His link-up play alongside Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, and Bradley Barcola has attracted considerable attention.
According to the same report, those performances have only reinforced PSG’s interest. Luis Enrique is said to value Olise’s technical quality, decision-making, and versatility, with the club continuing to assess his development. His consistency throughout the past season has also seen his name mentioned among the early candidates for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Despite the growing transfer speculation, Bayern Munich are not expected to entertain offers for Olise during the current summer transfer window. The German champions reportedly consider him a central figure in their long-term plans and are determined to keep him at the club for at least another season. Any attempt by either PSG or Real Madrid to secure his signature is therefore expected to prove difficult in the near future.
