INFRAME ASIA, CULINARY – Indonesia has emerged as the country with the most representatives in Tripadvisor’s list of the 10 best fine dining restaurants in Southeast Asia for 2026. Four restaurants from Bali and Jakarta made the ranking, giving Indonesia a stronger presence than any other ASEAN country. The list was released on October 2, 2026, Western Indonesia Time (WIB, UTC+7).
The ranking is part of Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Restaurants Awards 2026. The awards are based on reviews and opinions submitted by travelers from around the world over the previous 12 months. Restaurants selected for the Best of the Best category are among the highest-rated establishments on the platform.

Singapore took the top position with Koma Singapore, located at Marina Bay Sands. The Japanese restaurant combines sushi, robatayaki and other contemporary Japanese dishes with an elaborate interior inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. It also retained the top position from the previous year.

Vietnam placed second with The Rhythms Restaurant in Hanoi. Located on the seventh floor of La Sinfonía del Rey Hotel & Spa, the restaurant offers views toward Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Its dining experience includes contemporary dishes, cocktails and wine.

Cambodia took third place with Kroya by Chef Chanrith in Siem Reap. The restaurant is located at Shinta Mani Angkor and focuses on modern Cambodian cuisine inspired by traditional Khmer recipes. Local ingredients are prepared using contemporary cooking techniques, with seasonal set menus available for dinner.

Indonesia entered the ranking at number four with Boy’N’Cow in Bali. The restaurant and cocktail lounge is known for its dry-aged beef, which is aged on site before being prepared for diners. Its menu is designed around sharing dishes and combines meat-focused cooking with a lively cocktail-bar setting.

Dava, also in Bali, followed at number five. Located at AYANA Villas, the restaurant focuses on Argentine-inspired cuisine, particularly the asado barbecue tradition. Its menu includes beef and seafood cooked over wood-fired grills, along with Wagyu steak, South American-style cocktails and wine.

Jakarta’s Henshin took sixth place, becoming the capital’s only restaurant in the top 10. Located across the 67th to 69th floors of The Westin Jakarta, the restaurant combines Japanese and Peruvian influences through Nikkei cuisine. Its rooftop setting also provides diners with views across Jakarta’s skyline.

Bai Yun in Nusa Dua, Bali, completed Indonesia’s four-restaurant run at number seven. The Chinese restaurant focuses on hot pot dining, offering a selection of fresh ingredients and different sauces. Its inclusion means Indonesia occupied four consecutive positions from fourth through seventh in the regional ranking.
The remaining restaurants in the top 10 came from other parts of Southeast Asia, giving the ranking a broad regional mix of culinary styles. The list includes Japanese, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Argentine, Nikkei and Chinese influences. The range reflects the diversity of high-end dining experiences available across major Southeast Asian destinations.
The Indonesian restaurants also represent different approaches to fine dining. Boy’N’Cow centers on dry-aged beef and cocktails, Dava focuses on Argentine grilling, Henshin combines Peruvian and Japanese traditions, while Bai Yun builds its experience around Chinese hot pot. Their locations span Bali and Jakarta, two of Indonesia’s major destinations for international tourism and upscale dining.
The Tripadvisor ranking places particular emphasis on traveler experiences rather than a conventional restaurant-inspection system. Thousands of user reviews from different countries contribute to the awards, with the Best of the Best designation reserved for the highest-performing restaurants on the platform. The 2026 results therefore reflect the experiences reported by Tripadvisor users during the award period.
